A breath of fresh air for Chapiteaux du Monde

Richard Girard, president of Chapiteaux du Monde, is pleased to announce that he has taken the reins of the Baie-Saint-Paul-based company specializing in the manufacture of custom tent and canopy canvases. To kick off the 2013 summer season and get the word out about the change in leadership, Chapiteaux du Monde's new owner invited members of the business community in and around Quebec City to visit the company's facilities and check out its new brand identity.

“Chapiteaux du Monde has been in business for almost 25 years and we are recognized leaders in our field. We have built a solid reputation not just in Quebec, but also outside the province,” said Richard Girard, who bought the company in late 2012. “I want to develop the company's potential and expand to new markets.”

Chapiteaux du Monde was founded in 1989 by Richard Bouthillier, one of the pioneering talents behind Cirque du Soleil, and quickly carved out an enviable position in the global canvas, canopy, and tent manufacturing market. “Chapiteaux du Monde has always offered its clients top-of-the-line products. We continuously seek out cutting-edge techniques and materials to create final products that meet the most stringent quality standards. I am proud to help advance the mission of a company with such a solid reputation and promising future,” said the new owner.

Over the course of its 25 years, the company has added many other products and services to its lineup. Today, in addition to designing and manufacturing canvases, canopies, and tents, Chapiteaux du Monde provides turnkey tent rental and installation services, including flooring, tables, chairs, dishware, audio equipment, lighting systems, and onsite technical support.

According to Mr. Girard, “Diversifying our services and developing new markets will help grow our business, but more importantly, it will consolidate the jobs we provide right here in the region. We have already opened some new positions and I hope to be able to create even more jobs in the coming months.”
