Chapiteaux du Monde partners with the Shaved Head Challenge

Chapiteaux du Monde president Richard Girard is proud to announce that Chapiteaux du Monde will participate in the Leucan Shaved Head Challenge in Charlevoix by providing the equipment for the event. This year the Leucan Shaved Head Challenge will take place from 5:00–8:00 p.m. on May 24 in the parking lot of the CIHO-FM radio station at 315 Chemin Cartier-Nord in Saint-Hilaron.

“We all know at least one person who has been affected by cancer. Speaking from a personal perspective, several of my family members have been struck by the illness and I wanted to contribute to this cause in my own way,” said Richard Girard. Chapiteaux du Monde will provide a 40-foot-by-40-foot tent to the Challenge, in which participants have their heads shaved to raise money for Leucan.

In addition to covering the tent rental and installation costs, Richard Girard will be on hand with his team to set up and supervise inflatable games for the kids’ entertainment and enjoyment.

“Not only does the Leucan Shaved Head Challenge help us raise money to promote cancer research, but it is also an excellent opportunity to demonstrate our solidarity with children who are experiencing hair loss due to chemotherapy. Every individual and company that participates in the Challenge is taking action to fight cancer and increase the number of success stories. I invite our community residents and business owners to follow Chapiteaux du Monde's example and support Leucan in their own way,” said Richard Girard, president of Chapiteaux du Monde.

About the Leucan Shaved Head Challenge

The Leucan Shaved Head Challenge is a major community fundraising event held in the spirit of solidarity to help Leucan provide services to the families of children with cancer and invest in clinical research. Participants in the Leucan Shaved Head Challenge put a price on their own heads (of hair) and collect donations from their circle of family, friends, neighbors, colleagues, etc. Taking part in the Leucan Shaved Head Challenge means becoming part of a special family that provides vital support to children with cancer.
